RF Tuners receive audio/video TV programming via an RF broadcast transmitter. Tuners then select a single channel from the available channels spectrum.

The broadcast signal can be over-the-air (terrestrial), cable or satellite. Tuners convert the recovered RF signal into a lower and workable frequency that is passed to the "demodulator" for the various segment spplications.
